Liturgy Committee The Liturgy Committee’s purpose is to provide an increasingly open, prayerful, affirming and enlivening style of worship. The Committee plans special liturgies throughout the year and is deeply involved in the worship each Sunday and Holy Days. If you would like to attend the Liturgy Committee meetings or become more involved with this group, please contact through the parish office: The Committee Chair, Ricardo Santiago at 613.842.9035. Multimedia Committee The Multimedia Committee provides the Assumption Parish community with informative multimedia products (photos, video and technology-based objects) relevant to parish activities, reviews multimedia products, concept and methods, assists in maintaining the parish website and coordinates the multimedia coverage of various church events. Contact the Committee Co-ordinators Christina Teodoro or Maura David for more information. Parish Community LIfe Our Parish and Community Life ministries support our community needs with opportunities to come together in fellowship, in fun, and in support of each other to strengthen our bonds as the family of God. The activities of these ministries provide opportunities for social gatherings, sharing in faith and giving support to members of our community in times of difficulty. For more information contact the Coordinator, Carmel Wrinn, through the parish at 613.746.8503. Parish Pastoral Committee The Parish Council is the main governing body of the parish in the sense that it monitors, sets policy and makes decisions regarding the operation of the parish and the management of its assets. Parish council meetings are held on every third Thursday (7:00 pm) of each month, with the exception of July, August and December. Council meetings are open to all parishioners. The Council consists of the Parish Priest, a Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary, and representatives of the various parish committees. The representatives of the committees are appointed by their committee; the other members (Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary) are elected. The Council does not operate in isolation of other committees, but rather forms the umbrella over all of them. Attending Parish Council meetings is a good way to stay in touch which everything that is going on in the parish. Roger Sweet Temporal Committee The committee is responsible for ensuring the financial stability of the parish, the finance committee members provide counsel to the pastor on financial matters pertaining to the parish.
